Dan Hasler is the chief brand marketer, overseeing marketing strategy, strategic communications, media relations, advertising, licensing, and digital marketing in collaboration with colleges and units across the Purdue System.
Dan recently led the university wide Giant Leaps 150th Anniversary of Purdue University. The year was comprised of over 140 events anchored by the Ideas Festival, which drew 50,000 in-person attendees and over 500,000 livestream viewers. Visit takegiantleaps.com
Under his leadership, Purdue reached a record numbers of patents, licenses and technology commercialization based on ever-expanding Purdue research. The $1 Billion Discovery Park District adjacent to Purdue’s campus was designed and commenced under his watch.
Previously, Dan was the CMO at Eli Lilly & Co. where he held many leadership roles during his 33-year career, including President of Eli Lilly Of Brazil. In 2010, Hasler was the recipient of the Lilly Lifetime Achievement Award.
Dan is a graduate of DePauw University and Duke University, where he received his MBA.
