Shannon Lapierre is Chief Communications Officer for Stanley Black & Decker, an $11 billion globally diversified company with 54,000 employees across 60 countries.
In conjunction with co-leading a project to excavate and launch the company’s purpose – For Those Who Make The World – Shannon and her team led a purpose-driven approach to launching the company’s 175th anniversary.
This important milestone became a forum for elevating Stanley Black & Decker’s business strategy, as well as its focus on diversity and inclusion, values and social responsibility message, fast-forwarding the organization’s cultural shift and better positioning the organization to endure this period of rapid technological acceleration and geopolitical challenges
Shannon has responsibility for corporate communications, corporate marketing and government relations. Prior to joining Stanley Black & Decker in 2016, she was senior vice president of Communications at The Hartford where she led employee and external communications and corporate social responsibility.
She also held communication leadership roles at CA Technologies, Staples and Digital Equipment Corporation, and began her career at The Travelers. Lapierre earned a bachelor’s in Communication from the University of Connecticut and a master’s in Communication from Johns Hopkins.

Kevin is a highly experienced and well-respected General Manager, Chief Marketing and Communication Officer, and Chief Brand Officer. His multifaceted international career was built with IBM where, as Chief Brand Officer, he led IBM’s award-winning Centennial Anniversary program.
Kevin’s expertise centers on his ability to grasp and innovate around strategic opportunities, then manage change to deliver results in complex operational environments.
Kevin is particularly adept at bringing diverse teams of people together and motivating them to achieve common goals through a leadership style that is direct, frank, decisive and tough, whilst balancing strong creative and analytical acumen to deliver strategic outcomes.
Since leaving IBM, Kevin has joined Anniversary University® as a Milestone Master™. Kevin has facilitated Anniversary Visioning Workshops for iconic companies and consulted on the strategic intent and design of anniversary programs for a variety of B2B and consumer marketing companies.
The repeating theme within Kevin’s work is the design and delivery of customer focused value propositions that accelerate profitable growth. His track record of consistent high achievement is built upon an outstanding academic and professional development background. He is a respected thought leader, speaker, consultant, and lecturer, maintaining a wide range of activity with clients, partners and peers in strategy and marketing.

Laura H. Jack is vice president for communications at Colgate University. She leads all internal and external communications efforts to steward Colgate’s reputation and identity, builds awareness of the University, the excellence of its faculty, and its strong academic programs; and supports the University’s core mission, goals, and priorities.
Laura served as co-chair for the university-wide bicentennial celebration that concluded in December 2019. Projects included the University and bicentennial identity, alumni magazine redesign project, bicentennial website, countless events and lectures, a campus beautification project, and a history book.
Prior to arriving at Colgate, Laura was vice president at Howard University, where she oversaw all fundraising, alumni relations, communications, and university events operations. Outside of higher education, Laura spent nearly ten years managing marketing and advertising initiatives and multimillion-dollar campaigns with international marketing and advertising firms, such as JCDecaux and Ogilvy & Mather.
Beyond Laura’s professional responsibilities, she is an active member in the community and serves on the board of directors for Community Memorial Hospital and A Better Chance Clinton. Laura earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Pace University, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Education from Baruch College. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education at Syracuse University.
Nina Easton is an award-winning author and former Fortune magazine columnist/senior editor. At SellersEaston, she deploys her storytelling talent and deep understanding of history to shape the narratives of organizations around key milestones such as anniversaries, with clients that include Goldman Sachs, the University of Texas' LBJ School of Public Policy, Cravath Swaine & Moore, and Freeman Co.
Nina also chairs Fortune Most Powerful Women International and co-chairs the Fortune Global Forum–producing and hosting live events around the world for top leaders in business and government. Her leadership stories are featured on film, too, producing an acclaimed documentary on a Nobel Peace Prize winner and a civil rights documentary (now in production) with an Oscar-winning director. An accomplished political historian and TV commentator, Nina was a 2012 Harvard Kennedy School fellow.
Daniel J. Hasler serves as executive vice president for communications. He is the chief brand marketer for the institution, overseeing marketing strategy, strategic communications, media relations, advertising, licensing, and digital marketing in collaboration with colleges and units across the Purdue System.
Most recently, Dan led the university wide Giant Leaps 150th Anniversary of Purdue University. The year was comprised of over 140 events anchored by the Ideas Festival, which drew 50,000 in-person attendees and over 500,000 livestream viewers. Visit takegiantleaps.com
Dan joined the Purdue Research Foundation in 2012, serving as its president and chief entrepreneurial officer through 2017. Over the past five years, under his leadership, Purdue has reached record numbers of patents, licenses and technology commercialization based on ever-expanding Purdue research. The $1 Billion Discovery Park District adjacent to Purdue’s campus was designed and commenced under his watch.
Previously, Dan served as the Secretary of Commerce for the State of Indiana and Chief Executive Officer of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC). As Secretary of Commerce, Dan attracted a record-breaking 254 companies to the State of Indiana in FY 2012.
He had an extensive 33-year career at Eli Lilly and Co., a Fortune 500 global pharmaceutical company headquartered in Indianapolis. While at Eli Lilly, Hasler served in a number of leadership positions, most recently as Chief Marketing Officer, and was responsible for the brand strategy and market performance of Lilly’s worldwide pharmaceutical portfolio. He also was the Chief Marketing Officer for Eli Lilly USA. Prior to that, he led the commercial operations of Eli Lilly’s largest European group and was General Manager and President of Eli Lilly of Brazil LTD. In 2010, Dan was the recipient of the Lilly Lifetime Achievement Award.
A native of Paris, Illinois, Dan is a 1980 graduate of DePauw University, where he received the Walker Cup and was a member of Beta Theta Pi. He has a Master of Business Administration from Duke University. He is actively involved in the Hoosier community and serves on a number of boards, including Novosteo, a bone fracture healing company, which he co-founded in 2015.

In 2018, Kate Nason led the Intel 50th Anniversary team to deliver 132 unique and memorable experiences in 78 global sites for 112,00 employees.
During Kate’s 17 years at Intel, she’s held positions in supply chain management, marketing, and finance, which enabled her to work effectively across the enterprise to create a cost effective strategic plan to fully leverage the 50th Anniversary.
Currently, Kate is Intel’s Digital Content and Production Manager and a certified in Emotional Intelligence and Myers-Briggs and has a passion for developing people and making positive change.
She graduated from ASU for both her undergrad and MBA degrees in finance and International Management. Outside of work she enjoys traveling, hiking, running, reading and spending time with family.
Lisa has more than 20 years experience in corporate communications, experiential marketing, and sponsorship acquisition.
